Culture becomes most generous when a room gives people more than one way to enter.
Chai is often offered with a question: would you like some, have you eaten, will you stay? The drink is practical, but the invitation around it is social. It gives conversation another chapter and signals that time can expand a little.
At public gatherings, a tea station can do the same work. It creates an easy point of return between performances or introductions. It lets people reset, compare flavours, and start a conversation without needing a formal networking prompt.
